Frackers have begun offering households near fracking wells $50,000 each if they agree to release the company from any legal liability.

Deviating from their position that fracking is totally safe, Frackers in Washington County, near Pittsburgh have begun offering households near fracking wells $50,000 each if they agree to release the company from any legal liability, for current operations as well as those to be carried out in the future.
The agreement covers potential health problems and property damage, and gives the company blanket protection from claims over noise, dust, light, smoke, odors, fumes, soot, air pollution or vibrations, the ProPublica reports says.

So if fracking is so safe, why try to bribe gullible home owners, leaving them helpless to recover damage? And, will Helis have the common decency to help us set up a little nest egg for our kids’ chemo treatments as well? As reports come out, we have more and more reasons to be concerned that fracking is not safe. Looks like there are going to be serious class-action law suits on the horizon. We encourage all of the citizens of St. Tammany Parish to hold-out. Don’t take a bribe. Just say NO.
