Poisoned by Fracking – Confirmation Letters

On the fence about fracking? Read a few of these letters to homeowners from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

Since the release of this type of information, Fracking Operators have had land owners unkowingly sign away their rights to have their water tested, like this land owner did.

But one of our favorite letters from the PA DEP advises this land owner to install a vent in his well to discharge the high amounts of methane in his water supply.  The vent is not to fix the problem, but because, “…there is a physical danger of fire or explosion due to the mirgration of natural gas into water wells [then] into dwellings where it could be ignited. Natural gas can also cause a threat of asphyxiation.”

“…there is a physical danger of fire or explosion due to the mirgration of natural gas into water wells [then] into dwellings where it could be ignited. Natural gas can also cause a threat of asphyxiation.”

There are 243 such letters, from Pennsylvania alone.  The PA Government’s solution is to advise home owners to vent their wells so they don’t die in their sleep.

So if you are still on the fence about fracking I’ll ask you to explain how this sounds like a safe practice to you.  We will gladly print your response.
